Additional Letters of Thanks

Dear Ms. Washington,

My students and I were recipients of your inspiring gift. Ms. Washington, to say that I was touched by your sincere generosity to our students does not sufficiently express my gratitude. You have generated true excitement about going to college within the hearts and minds of our middle school students. Our experience at the “I’m Going to College” UCLA football game will forever be fondly engrained in our memories. On a personal note and as a proud Bruin, it was one of the best days of my life as an educator. To watch the wonder in our students’ faces as they spoke with student athletes, played games with student volunteers, and saw the Rose Bowl for the very first time, was profoundly moving.

Again, please accept my deepest gratitude for your generosity.

All the best,

Mary Sachs, Literacy Coach

Dear Ms. Washington,

Thank you so much for the wonderful opportunity of taking our students to the UCLA football game and college fair. They were so excited and enjoyed every minute of the trip! I wish you could have heard them continuing to talk about the game, UCLA, and college the whole way home. After participating in the event, they had countless questions for the adults about college—Where did we go? How did we decide where to go? Who was the mascot at our college?

This was such a meaningful activity to help make college tangible for our students and to motivate them to achieve their dreams. Many of the students now have a clearer picture in mind of what they are working so hard towards, and this will propel them towards success.

Your generosity has meant so much for our students and it is deeply appreciated and will have a lasting impact.

Thank you again,
