Plus, took advantage of the opportunity to place their company, product or service among Shelter 37 friends and family by sponsoring this summer’s “Battle of the Greens” Golf Classic.

Hosted at the beautiful Brookside Golf Club in Pasadena, CA on Monday, July 9th, 2018, there was no greater opportunity to dine, play and socialize with VIPs, entertain clients/customers, and introduce your company all while supporting Shelter 37’s exceptional programming for underserved youth throughout Southern California! The Shelter 37 Charity Golf Classic offers first-class golf, first-class food, and a first-class good time!

Congratulations Graduates!

Thirty-two of our young people crossed the stage to receive their high school diploma while also attaining valuable skills taught in our Aspiring Leaders workshops. And a special hats off to Delmy M. and Malaysia B. (pictured below). They are the proud recipients of the Shelter 37 scholarship awards towards their post-secondary education. SHELTER 37, was founded by James Washington in 1993 as a not-for-profit public benefit corporation to provide highly effective life skills, job training and educational programs to youth in southern California.

The mission of Shelter 37 was inspired by the personal journey of its founder, James Washington, whose life experiences are a story of triumph over adversity. Under James’ leadership, Shelter 37 addresses the root cause of school and personal challenges. Shelter 37 provides guidance and support that is rooted in compassion and a deep understanding of the difficult environments in which many young Angelinos find themselves.
